Laffey loses to Reds after allowing five runs

The Indians failed to produce the offense needed to get the win, falling 3-2 in a tough battle with the Giants, though LHP Aaron Laffey did what he could to keep his team in the mix. In by far his worst start of the season, Indians SP Aaron Laffey allowed eight runs and 11 hits over five innings Monday at Texas, walking two and striking out two. He didn't factor in the decision. Since being recalled April 28 from Triple-A Buffalo, he had allowed only seven earned runs in six previous starts -- and four of those came in his first game back.
