Miles lost playing time this past season (41 fewer plate appearances, more games), and that must be attributed in large part to the infield staying healthy and the late emergence of Felipe Lopez. The previous two years, one or more starting infielders missed a great deal of time, and Miles filled in. This time around, the regulars all stayed healthy. Expect even less playing time next year with the return of middle infielders Felipe Lopez and Cesar Iztirus looking more and more likely.
