The Cincinnati Enquirer's John Fay reports the Cincinnati Reds outrighted P Adam Pettyjohn to Triple-A Louisville.
News: Reds LHP Adam Pettyjohn, making his first start in seven years, lasted just over two innings during which he gave up eight runs on seven hits Sunday at St. Louis. He also issued two walks in the loss. The left-hander began a battle with ulcerative colitis in 2002 while with Minnesota and eventually underwent three surgeries, including one to remove his colon. "I felt fine," he said. "They got some pitches to hit and got the results they wanted. I just left some pitches out over the plate."
Analysis: At age 31, Pettyjohn isn't a prospect and doesn't deserve a look in Fantasy either this year or next. He'll likely pitch out of the bullpen next season anyway
News: The Reds will start their only left-hander of the season in Sunday's finale at St. Louis, going with Adam Pettyjohn to snap an 180-game streak by right-handers.
Analysis: This almost sounds like a stunt. At age 31, Pettyjohn isn't a prospect and doesn't deserve a look in Fantasy either this year or next
