News: The Sports Xchange reports that Adam Rosales logged his first career RBI and stolen base in the second inning against St. Louis Thursday. He finished 2-for-4.
Analysis: Rosales is nothing more than a NL-only Fantasy reserve at this time. He may get more at-bats down the stretch with the Reds looking to see what they have with him, but nothing major. He's too much of a question mark to rely upon at this critical stretch of the Fantasy season
Rosales earned just his third start on Thursday, his second at the hot corner. He has just three hits in 18 at-bats, so it doesn't appear as though he will offer much value outside of NL-only formats.
USAToday.com reports the Cincinnati Reds recalled IF Paul Janish, 2B Danny Richar, IF Adam Rosales, P Daniel Herrera and purchased the contracts of P Jon Adkins, P Adam Pettyjohn and P Josh Roenicke from Triple-A Louisville.
Pitcher Jon Adkins has been recalled by the Reds from Triple-A Louisville, according to the AP. The team also recalled pitchers Daniel Ray, Adam Pettyjohn, and Josh Roenicke. Infielder Adam Rosales has also been brought back to Cincinnati.Adkins will hold no value while fighting for innings as a middle reliever, and none of the other listed players merits fantasy consideration either while serving as reserves.
Reds recalled infielder Adam Rosales from Triple-A Louisville. Rosales went 1-for-10 for the Reds last month. He finished at .287/.339/.463 for Triple-A Louisville. He'll probably get most of the at-bats that had been going to Andy Phillips.
