In an effort to cut down on his mistakes at the plate, 1B Adrian Gonzalez met with legendary Padres OF Tony Gwynn twice a week this offseason, according to the North County Times. Gwynn says Gonzalez needs to concentrate on hitting the ball the opposite way more. "He should take advantage," Gwynn said. "If they give you balls out over the plate you don't have to pull them. He'd go up and strike out. The (opposite field) is his strength. That's what he does best. Sometimes you have to remind him."
