Colin Fly, of The Associated Press, reports Chicago Cubs OF Alfonso Soriano went 7-for-16 with two home runs, three RBIs and three stolen bases during the four-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Few hitters have been swinging a hotter bat than Soriano lately, as the Cubs' leadoff hitters is now batting.529 (9-for-17) with two homers, five RBIs, seven runs and three steals over his last four games. Wednesday's swipe gives the five-tool left fielder 10 for the year.
Alfonso Soriano went 3-for-4 on Wednesday to lead a trio of Cubs hitters with three hits (the others were Reed Johnson and Ryan Theriot).Soriano also stole his 10th SB of the year on the night. With a little bit of work, Soriano could still end up as a 20/20 performer this year since he also has 17 home runs, something he failed to do last season when he had 33 home runs and 19 stolen bases.
