Coming off two solid performances, Marlins SP Andrew Miller could not make it three Tuesday against the Dodgers. The left-hander was done after three innings, six runs and nine hits. He walked two and failed to record a strikeout. The Dodgers scored all their runs against Miller with two out, and his ERA rose to 9.12.

Miller shelled again

Marlins SP Andrew Miller allowed a RBI single to Mark Teixeria in the first inning and a solo home run to Matt Diaz in the second, but he settled down thereafter and held on for his first win with Florida. Miller, acquired in the Miguel Cabrera-Dontrelle Willis deal, allowed one earned run and nine hits in a 7-2 win. He walked two and didn't record a strikeout. Miller (1-2) has allowed just four earned runs over his last 10 innings.

Andrew Miller is reportedly being ordered to throw harder, according to the Palm Beach Post. His velocity hasn't reached 90 mph in either of his first two starts, but the team stated that his health is fine. Manager Gonzalez noted, "The problem is that Miller is compensating his velocity by trying to be careful to throw more strikes. Against the Yankees, it was 92, 95, 97, and we haven't seen that since. Not even close. I don't want him to take away from his velocity to try to throw strikes. You want to see the zip, you want to see the life that hitters were missing."Miller is 0-1 with a 12.91 ERA, but has nine strikeouts over 7.2 innings.

Andrew Miller had a brutal outing on Monday night allowing six runs in just 3.1 innings for the Marlins. Miller needed 91 pitches to to pick up 10 outs as he allowed eight hits and one walk to the Nationals.At least Miller didn't walk everyone in the park, but with a 12.91 ERA after two starts he might find himself walking back to the minors if he doesn't turn things around soon.
