Andrew Miller is getting closer to returning to the big leagues as he continues to recover from patella tendinitis in his right leg, according to FloridaMarlins.com. He will make a start for the Marlins Double-A affiliate on Thursday.Miller could be back before September 1, but fantasy owners need not worry about that, as he has not done enough to prove he belongs on anybody's squad, regardless of format.

News: According to The Sports Xchange notes: The Marlins might soon get a fresh arm for their bullpen. Left-hander Andrew Miller started the season in the rotation, but when he returns from the disabled list, he could go to the bullpen. "I wouldn't hesitate to use him in that role," manager Fredi Gonzalez said. Miller is recovering from right knee tendinitis. His latest rehab start was delayed because of a minor blister on a finger on his throwing hand. Miller was supposed to pitch for Double-A Carolina on Tuesday. He is now scheduled to start Thursday.
Analysis: Long term, Miller is a potential Fantasy ace, but apparently he is nothing more than a middle reliever for the deepest of leagues that use true middle men down the stretch now. He could still get starts in September, but he is more stashee than anything right now
