News: Marlins activated pitcher Andrew Miller and outfielder Brett Carroll from the disabled list on Monday, making room on the 40-man roster by placing catcher Mike Rabelo on the 60-day DL. Miller was 1-0 with a 2.33 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 19 1/3 innings in six rehab games. He gave up five earned runs, allowing 14 hits and four walks. The left-hander went on the 15-day DL on July 18 with tendinitis in his right knee.

Analysis: Miller could return to the rotation at some point, but Chris Volstad has fared so well as a starter that Miller will probably have to work in middle relief right now. He has long-term potential, but don't expect him to help you much in Fantasy for the rest of this season

Miller went 5-9 with a 5.63 ERA in 20 starts for the Marlins and then spent six weeks on the DL with a knee injury, but now he returns as a reliever. He doesn't figure to have any real fantasy value for the remainder of this season, but will likely be an undervalued sleeper candidate heading into next year.
