Angel Guzman threw five scoreless innings to win for Magallanes of the VWL on Thursday. He allowed three hits, walked two and struck out four. Guzman, who is 13 months removed from Tommy John surgery, has given up one run in eight innings to date.

Angel Guzman allowed one run in three innings and struck out four in his VWL debut on Friday. Guzman, who underwent Tommy John surgery 13 months ago, gave up six runs in 9 2/3 innings after joining the Cubs in September. He'll be out of options next spring, so odds are that he'll have a bullpen spot if healthy.
