News: The Mets removed outfielder Angel Pagan (torn left labrum), pitcher Jason M. Vargas (left hip surgery) and reliever Ambiorix Burgos (Tommy John elbow surgery) from the 60-day DL.

Analysis: Pagan is nothing more than a reserve outfielder if he makes the Mets roster out of spring training, while Vargas has potential as a spot starter or long reliever at this point

Analysis: Pagan should be ready for spring training, but he is nothing more than a reserve outfielder for the Mets and the deepest of NL-only leagues, when healthy. Cut and ignore him in all leagues at this point

Angel Pagan has opted to undergo season-ending surgery on the torn labrum in his left shoulder, according to the NY Post. Dr. David Altchek will perform the operation at the Hospital for Special Surgery.He fared well as a reserve with the Mets this season, as he hit .275 with 13 RBI over 91 at-bats.
