Aramis Ramirez will miss the next three games to deal with a family matter in the Dominican Republic, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.Ramirez initially asked for four days off but was told he could take three. He is scheduled to rejoin the Cubs Thursday for the finale of a four-game set in San Francisco. The team is expected to use Mark DeRosa and Ronny Cedeno at third while Ramirez is away, who currently leads the Cubs with 55 RBI. Ramirez was obviously distracted during the Cubs' weekend series against the White Sox, as he went 0-for-13.

Ramirez out three games for family matter

Aramis Ramirez continued to hit the ball hard on Sunday night as he went 2-for-4 with three RBI against the White Sox. One of his hits was his 14th home run of the season and the other was his 20th double.Aramis has two hits in three straight games, and in each game he has also gone yard for a total of four home runs and eight RBI in three games against cross town rivals the White Sox.

Ramirez homers twice to lead Cubs to win

3B Aramis Ramirez added two singles, a double and an RBI Sunday against the Rockies as the Cubs (36-21) won 5-3. Ramirez opened the scoring with a RBI single in the first off Ubaldo Jimenez. Ramirez has hit safely in eight of his last nine games and has five multi-hit games in that span.
