That's four games in a row with at least one hit and three straight multi-hit games for the second baseman. There aren't many strong second base options in fantasy, so being opportunistic at the position can be very rewarding. In this case, owners with inconsistency at second should look at Cabrera, especially in deep mixed leagues.

Asdrubal Cabrera reached base three times from the ninth spot in the order Wednesday against the White Sox. Cabrera finished the White Sox series 6-for-10 with four RBI and a walk. He's been solid enough since returning from the minors that the Indians shouldn't be afraid to pencil him in as a starter in 2009. He's hit .283/.380/.417 in 127 at-bats.

Analysis: Cabrera doesn't have the highest upside in the world, but he's certainly capable of producing better than he has so far. Consider him a sleeper of sorts for deeper AL-only leagues

Indians.MLB.com's Andrew Gribble reports Cleveland Indians 2B Asdrubal Cabrera has shown consistency at the plate, in his fitness and in his defense after spending nearly two months at Triple-A Buffalo. Since he returned to the Indians' everyday lineup July 18, Cabrera is batting just under .300.
