News: The Rangers released LHP A.J. Murray, RHP Brian Gordon, LHP John Rheinecker and LHP Bill White on Wednesday.
Analysis: White is nothing more than a low-end middle reliever for the deepest of leagues that use true middle men at this point in his career
News: The Rangers recalled RP Bill White from Class A Bakersfield on Tuesday. White was with the Rangers from Aug. 25-29 after his contract was purchased from Triple-A Oklahoma, throwing one scoreless inning of relief last Thursday for the Rangers against the Angels before being optioned to the minors.
Analysis: White, like most middle relievers, has virtually no Fantasy appeal. Ignore him in all leagues
Rangers recalled LHP Bill White from Single-A Bakersfield. White was sent down Saturday in a paperwork move. The 29-year-old had a 3.54 ERA in 50 relief appearances for Triple-A Oklahoma before initially being called up by the Rangers last week.
German Duran has been recalled to the Rangers less than two weeks after he was sent down, according to the Star Telegram. Bill White was also added to the roster.Duran will be a spare part and have no fantasy value with the Rangers since the club already has Chris Davis at third base and entrenched in the starting lineup, not to mention that Ian Kinsler is expected back in action in about a week at second base.
Rangers optioned LHP Bill White to Single-A Bakersfield. Optioning him to Bakersfield allows him to be recalled when rosters expand on Monday. Had the Rangers instead chosen Triple-A Oklahoma, White would have had to wait a while longer to rejoin the team.
