News: Giants starter Barry Zito and reliever Billy Sadler matched a major league record by hitting three Houston batters in the sixth inning, along with issuing four walks. The Astros wound up with all of their runs off two hit batters, two walks and two sacrifice flies in a 6-2 victory.
Analysis: Sadler is nothing more than a low-end middle reliever for the deepest of NL-only leagues that use true middle men

Billy Sadler has been recalled from Triple-A Fresno, according to the AP. Right-hander Sergio Romo has been designated for assignment as the adjoining move.Sadler issued 13 earned runs, 18 walks, and 17 hits over 23.2 innings of relief with the Giants this season, and does not garner fantasy consideration.

Giants recalled RHP Billy Sadler from Triple-A Fresno. Sadler had a 4.94 ERA in 23 2/3 innings with the Giants earlier this year. The team probably isn't viewing him as an upgrade from Osiris Matos, but it makes sense to get another long look at him before making a decision on whether to keep him on the 40-man roster over the winter.
