Mark Ellis is awaiting a second opinon from Dr. Lewis Yocum about shoulder surgery and may have an old injury repaired along with a more recent one should he undergo any operation, according to the SF Chronicle. Before the 2004 campaign, Ellis tore the labrum in his right shoulder in a brutal collision with Bobby Crosby, but nerve damage in the shoulder was too severe for surgery to be performed. Ellis rehabbed the shoulder, but the labrum is still torn.Tests show that the nerves in Ellis' shoulder are fine now, so he is OK for surgery, and the labrum is likely to be repaired at the same time that chips are removed from the shoulder and damaged cartilage is taken out. Ellis would be expected to be ready to participate in spring training next season.

News: Oakland SS Bobby Crosby helped his A's defeat the Rangers on Saturday by driving in three runs. Crosby went 2-for-4 with a double. He's batting just .246 on the year, however.
Analysis: Crosby has a low batting average and hasn't showed nearly as much power as you'd like for a power prospect. He looks like a low-end Fantasy option these days, but continue to think of him as the regular shortstop in Oakland

Milton Bradley was ejected from Saturday's game in the fourth inning for arguing with first-base umpire Angel Campos on a tag play, according to Rangers.com. Josh Hamilton led off the inning with a single, and Bradley followed with a grounder to short. Bobby Crosby fielded it, stepped on second and then threw to first. His throw was high and off to the inside of first base. First baseman Daric Barton came off the bag, caught the throw and tagged Bradley for the out. Bradley argued that Barton missed the tag, and he continued the argument as he walked back to the dugout. Rangers' skipper Ron Washington went on the field to argue, but Bradley kept up the argument from the dugout and was finally ejected. This marks Bradley's fourth ejection of the season. Bradley was in the lineup for just the second time in seven games due to his strained lower back.
