Brandon Boggs replaced him in the lineup.Its unclear how severe the injury is at this time but we will update as more information becomes available. Byrd had been hot recently and was named the August player of the month for the Rangers.
That's eight jacks on the year for Boggs, who has gone yard thrice in his last five games with an at-bats. He might be in line for some more playing time if Josh Hamilton missed more time with his tooth injury and is worth a flier in AL-only leagues in the meantime.
