New York Newsday's Anthony Riber and Ken Davidoff are reporting free-agent SP CC Sabathia (Brewers) will not decide until after Thanksgiving weekend whether to accept any team's offers, including the $140 million deal placed out there by the New York Yankees.

Mike Scarr, of MLB.com, reports the San Francisco Giants appear ready to enter the sweepstakes for free-agent SP CC Sabathia (Brewers). According to NJ.com, they are preparing an offer that will land somewhere between the Milwaukee Brewers and New York Yankees offers.

Contrary to a previous report, Tony Jackson, of the Los Angeles Daily News, reports the Los Angeles Dodgers have not and are not close to making an offer to free-agent SP CC Sabathia (Brewers). However, they remain interested in Sabathia and this does not mean that they will not offer him a contract at some point.

The Los Angeles Daily News has learned that the Dodgers have not and are not close to making an offer to CC Sabathia. The Dodgers are interested, but it doesn't look like they're ready to approach the Yankees' offer. If they can reach the same territory as the Bombers, they might have the edge in signing him. Sabathia is believed to prefer the L.A. area and the National League.
