Daryl Thompson has been placed on the DL at Triple-A Louisville due to a shoulder strain, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.The ailment is not believed to be serious and is expected to pitch again this season after some rest and rehab. He is considered the Reds' top pitching prospect and is a prime candidate for next season's rotation, but won't likely hold any fantasy value for the remainder of the 2008 campaign.
