News: Milwaukee SP Dave Bush had his playoff moment on Saturday in Game 3 of the NLDS against the Phillies. With the Brewers facing elimination, Bush pitched 5 1/3 innings of one-run baseball and earned the victory. He allowed just five hits and walked none, while striking out three Phillies.

Analysis: Bush was 9-10 with a 4.18 ERA in 31 games, including 29 starts. The right-hander showed a propensity to pitch in big games on Saturday. Consider him a sleeper for Draft Day 2009, but there are at least 100 starting pitchers we would consider before him

Dave Bush surrendered one run in 5 1/3 innings as the Brewers beat the Phillies 4-1 on Saturday to stay alive in the NLDS. Jamie Moyer was pulled after four with the Phillies down 2-0, and the Brewers added an extra run in the fifth. Bush left with the shutout intact in the sixth, but the runner he left on third came around to score on Ryan Howard's sac fly. Fortunately for the Brewers, that was all of the damage the Phillies could do. The team loaded the bases with no outs in the ninth off Salomon Torres, but Pedro Feliz was left in to hit with all three of the Phillies' quality left-handed reserves already having been used and grounded into a double play on the first pitch he saw. The play included an interference call on Shane Victorino, who had been on first, so the Phillies didn't even get a run. Carlos Ruiz then grounded out to end it. Joe Blanton and Jeff Suppan will start Sunday's Game 4.
