Third baseman Edwin Encarnacion was a late scratch from the Reds lineup Wednesday night against the Cardinals due to a wrist injury, according to MLB.com.Encarnacion said his wrist was hurting on Tuesday night when he delivered a game-winning double against the Cardinals. The Reds are not sure how long he will be down.

It turned out that Encarnacion's game-winning swing Tuesday wasn't a healthy one.
