The Associated Press reports Milwaukee Brewers RP Eric Gagne bought 5,000 unsold tickets to the game Thursday, Sept. 25, and gave them away on the team's Web site. They were gone in 20 minutes.

Brewers reliever Eric Gagne purchased 5,000 tickets to Thursday's game against the Pirates, and will be giving them away free of charge to fans, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "No matter what happens over these next four games, I want everyone to know that I think the world of Brewers fans," Gagne said in a statement.He may think the world of Brewers fans, but they probably don't think the world of him. He signed a one-year, $10 million contract with the team, and promptly started blowing saves left and right. He has a 5.56 ERA on the year, and has allowed 11 home runs in 45.1 innings.

News: Eric Gagne (4-3) gave up three runs and four hits in the eighth Monday. He has a 6.81 ERA this year after signing a $10 million, one-year contract with the Brewers. Trailing 2-1, Daniel Murphy greeted Gagne with a double. One out later, Carlos Delgado hit his 31st home run of the year to give New York a 3-2 lead. "He was trying to make an 0-2 pitch, and it got too much of the plate," manager Ned Yost said. "He wasn't even trying to throw a strike. He just didn't hit his spot. He didn't execute."

Analysis: Gagne is nothing more than a high-risk and low-end middle reliever for the deepest of NL-only leagues that use true middle men down the stretch. He looks like a waste in Fantasy

Eric Gagne blew a lead in the eighth inning Monday after giving up a two-run homer and an RBI double. Gagne couldn't be trusted in the ninth inning earlier this season and doesn't appear suited for eighth inning duty. He has a 6.81 ERA this year and was charged with his sixth blown save today.

News: Milwaukee reliever Eric Gagne rejoined the team Friday against the Pirates after being home in Arizona for the birth of his son. Gagne, who arrived just before the start of the game, retired the only two batters he faced in the eighth.

Analysis: Gagne has allowed just one run in his last six outings, but he is still not close to regaining the closer's role for the Brewers. He is nothing more than a Fantasy middle reliever these days
