Athletics rookie SP Greg Smith, who had impressed in his first two big-league starts, came back down to earth a bit Saturday against the Royals. He allowed four runs -- three earned -- on six hits and one walk in five innings, striking out four. He took a no-decision.

Greg Smith was excellent on Monday night. He held the White Sox to six hits and one run over seven innings and picked up his first major league win. The rookie walked one and struck out four.Smith had a wildly effective showing in his first major league start, and he was better this time around. He is worth a look in AL-only leagues.

Greg Smith will be recalled from Triple-A Sacramento to make his major-league debut Wednesday. Smith, who came over from Arizona this offseason in the Dan Haren deal, gave up two runs in six innings in his first start of the year for Sacramento. He will be taking the place of Justin Duchscherer, who was placed on the DL.Smith is a decent prospect, but you should take a wait-and-see approach with him in fantasy.
