News: Dodgers reliever Hong-Chih Kuo, who returned from elbow problems to take Takashi Saito's spot on the roster for the NLCS, pitched an effective 1-2-3 inning in Game 1 against the Phillies and played catch during batting practice before Game 2 Friday. Manager Joe Torre initially said he would not use Kuo on consecutive days to protect the left elbow but backed off that position and said he would check with the left-hander after batting practice. "I'm not anticipating using him back-to-back, but there are no restrictions on him," said Torre, who said Kuo's breaking pitches were sharper than he expected.

Analysis: Kuo is one of the most valuable middle relievers in Rotisserie play, so you'll want to keep an eye on his condition. Still, unless the Dodgers move him to the rotation, don't expect to draft him in Fantasy next season

Ken Gurnick, of MLB.com, reports Los Angeles Dodgers RP Joe Beimel will become the primary left-handed pitcher out of the bullpen if RP Hong-Chih Kuo (elbow) is unable to pitch on consecutive days.
