He has raised his batting average from .245 in early June to a far more respectable .275, his current average.At least part of his improving performance could be due to plate discipline. After coaxing just three walks in 77 plate appearances in May, Rodriguez has been more patient in June, drawing seven walks in 57 plate appearances for the month.
