George Henry, of The Associated Press, reports Atlanta Braves SP Jair Jurrjens recorded his first win in his last five starts Friday, Sept. 5. He gave up one run and six hits while walking three and striking out six in five innings.

Jair Jurrjens picked up his first win since August 9th on Friday night against the Nationals. It took him 98 pitches to get through five innings, after which he was pulled. He gave up six hits and one run while walking three and striking out six.This should help him snap out of his funk. He was 1-3 with a 5.73 ERA in August. Jurrjens is a better pitcher than that and he should return to form in September.

News: Braves SP Jair Jurrjens ended a four-start winless drought with his 12th victory of the season Friday against the Nationals. He allowed one run on six hits in five innings, striking out six and walking three.
Analysis: Jurrjens has pitched no more than six innings in each of his last four starts, posting a 6.63 ERA during that stretch. He has hit a bit of a rookie wall, but he's still a serviceable pitcher in Fantasy. His next start is scheduled for Thursday against the Rockies
