MLB.com reports that Jake Westbrook had successful arthroscopic surgery on his right hip in Nashville, Tenn., on Friday. He is still recovering from Tommy John surgery that he underwent earlier in the summer.You won't be hearing much from Westbrook any time soon. He won't pitch again until midseason of 2009 at the earliest.

Jake Westbrook is already out for the season following Tommy John surgery on his right elbow, and is going to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right hip Thursday, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.The hip operation is not expected to hinder his recovery from Tommy John surgery.

The Associated Press reports Cleveland Indians SP Jake Westbrook (elbow/hip) is headed for a hip specialist. Westbrook felt some discomfort in his hip during spring training and said he would like to get it checked out after the season. He will visit Dr. Thomas Byrd in Nashville for further examination.
