Mariners SP Jarrod Washburn allowed a leadoff home run to Grady Sizemore Wednesday and it didn't get much better for the lefty during a 8-3 loss to Cleveland. Washburn was pulled during a five-run fifth for the Indians. He lost his third straight decision while allowing six hits, six runs (five earned) and two walks in 4 1/3 innings. His only bright spot was seven strikeouts.

Mariners SP Jarrod Washburn struggled to get to five innings Thursday against the Orioles, but was in line for the win before Baltimore rallied for a 8-7 win. Washburn tossed 97 pitches while allowing two runs and six hits. He walked three and struck out two while surrendering a solo home run to Jay Payton.

Mariners SP Jarrod Washburn allowed four runs, 10 hits and no walks in six innings Saturday at the Angels, striking out one and suffering his third loss of the season. The left-hander, who spent eight seasons with the Angels and helped them win the World Series in 2002, is 4-3 with a 4.47 ERA in eight starts against them since signing a four-year contract with Seattle in December of 2005. "Jarrod made some good pitches, but they've got a quality lineup over there," Mariners catcher Jamie Burke said.
