Analysis: Hirsh looked like a nice emerging starter in 2007 before his injury problems began. As a former top prospect in the Astros organization, he has some sleeper potential, but leave him for NL-only leagues in next year's draft

Hirsh, given his first start of the season in place of Aaron Cook, experienced extensive control issues Friday. He needed 105 pitches -- only 61 strikes -- to get into the fifth inning. The gigantic righty has allowed eight earned runs in 8 2/3 innings over four appearances since his callup. He was 5-7 with a 4.81 ERA in 19 starts for the Rockies last year.
