Ken Gurnick, of MLB.com, reports Los Angeles Dodgers SP Jason Schmidt (shoulder) will undergo surgery Wednesday, Sept. 10, to remove scar tissue and address arthritic change in his acromio-clavicular joint. He will be able to start throwing in six weeks.
