Clarifying a previous item, The Associated Press is reporting the three-team trade between the Cleveland Indians, New York Mets and Seattle Mariners is actually a 12-player trade, not nine players as previously thought. The Mets are sending three other players to Seattle in the deal, P Jason Vargas, P Maikel Cleto and OF Ezequiel Carrera.

MLB.com reports New York Mets SP Jason Vargas was named the Arizona Fall League's Pitcher of the Week for the period ending Sunday, Oct. 26. Vargas went 1-0 while giving up just one hit and striking out one in five innings of relief. Vargas has not given up a run in 12 2/3 innings while striking out seven and walking just one in the AFL.
