News: Oakland 3B Jeff Baisley went 2-for-2 on Saturday in a win over the Seattle Mariners. Baisley singled twice and drove in four runs.
Analysis: Baisley has pop in his bat and could get a look down the stretch with the rebuilding A's. Consider him nothing more than a deeper AL-only option at this point

After beginning his major league career hitless in his first 12 at-bats, Baisley has started to come alive recently. He's 5-for-8 with four RBIs over his last three games. The 25-year-old third baseman was selected from Triple-A Sacramento after a solid campaign during which he batted .298 with nine home runs and 44 RBIs in 81 regular season contests. He was then at his best when the games counted most, going 8-for-16 with two jacks and six RBIs in the first round of the Pacific Coast League Playoffs.

Jeff Baisley went 2-for-2 with four RBI in Saturday's 8-7 win over Seattle. Both of his hits were singles.Those were the first four RBI of his career. The third baseman is worth a look in deeper AL-only leagues for the final week of the season.
