Tigers.MLB.com's Jason Beck reports Detroit Tigers SP Jeremy Bonderman (shoulder) has begun light tossing. The team is optimistic that he'll be ready for Spring Training.
The Sports Network reports the Detroit Tigers activated SP Jeremy Bonderman (shoulder) from the 60-day disabled list Friday, Oct. 31.
The writing was on the wall here, as Bonderman lacked the command he'd shown in years past (44/36 K/BB ratio). It's unclear whether he'll be ready in time for Spring Training.
Tigers.MLB.com's Jason Beck reports Detroit Tigers SP Jeremy Bonderman (shoulder) is doing rehab exercises and hopes to start throwing next month. He's in the club's plans to be in the rotation next year.
Jeremy Bonderman, whose season ended early due to thoracic outlet syndrome, plans to be be ready for the start of the 2009 campaign, according to MLB.com. Bonderman hopes to start playing in the next month or two and start throwing with more authority as the range of motion in his pitching shoulder loosens up. Bonderman believes he's getting close to that, and he's optimistic enough that he plans on heading to the team's Spring Training facility in Lakeland, Florida, right after Christmas. He said, "I think I'll be all right. From the last time I was in Texas with the Tigers in August to now, I've improved tremendously. I'm just a little bit away."Bonderman should pitch better in 2009, but is still yet to win more than 14 games in a season, or hold an ERA below 4.08.
