Royals pitcher Jimmy Gobble will be called up from his rehab assignment when the team resumes play on Tuesday, according to the Kansas City Star. Also to be recalled is pitcher John Bale and first baseman Ryan Shealy.Gobble has been horrendous in his 24.2 innings of relief, sporting a ghastly 11.31 ERA and 2.27 WHIP. Putting him on a fantasy roster may be just a bit unwise.
Dick Kaegel, of MLB.com, reports Kansas City Royals SP Jimmy Gobble (back) has been struggling with his control during his rehab with Triple-A Omaha, according to manager Trey Hillman.
News: According to The Sports Xchange notes: LHP Jimmy Gobble, who is rehabbing from a bad back with Triple-A Omaha, started Saturday night at Oklahoma, but gave up five runs in 1 2/3 innings on four hits and four walks, while striking out three. Analysis: Gobble is nothing more than organizational depth at this point in his career. Ignore him in all Fantasy leagues right now
