CBSSports.com reports the New York Yankees activated RP Jonathan Albaladejo (elbow) from the 60-day disabled list Sunday, Nov. 16.
News: The Yankees cleared off their 60-day DL, including reliever Jonathan Albaladejo (stress fracture in elbow) and prospect Andrew Brackman (Tommy John elbow surgery).
Analysis: Albaladejo, a decent young relief arm, is nothing more than a low-end middle reliever for the deepest of AL-only leagues that use true middle men, when healthy. Brackman is an elite pitching prospect draftee who was taken early even though they knew he would need elbow surgery. Now that he has that out of his way, he could be an impact Fantasy pitcher come 2010
Jonathan Albaladejo made his PRWL debut on Tuesday and pitched a scoreless inning. Albaladejo never made it back last season after going down in May with a sprained elbow ligament. He's been overtaken by several reliever on the depth chart, but he could be quite an asset in the middle of the Yankee pen if healthy next year.
News: Jonathan Albaladejo (elbow) pitched two scoreless innings at the start of his rehab assignment with the Staten Island Yankees in the Class A short-season New York-Penn League on Tuesday.
Analysis: Albaladejo has long-term potential, but is nothing more than a low-end middle reliever for the deepest of AL-only leagues that use true middle men, once healthy and reactivated
