There is hope that if the Twins can defeat the White Sox to earn the American League Central crown, Slowey might be available for first round of the playoffs. The control artist closed out the regular season going 12-11 with a 3.99 ERA, a 123/24 K/BB ratio and a 1.15 WHIP over 160 1/3 innings, not bad for a starter in his first full year.

Kelly Thesier, of MLB.com, reports Minnesota Twins SP Kevin Slowey (wrist) played catch Monday, Sept. 29, and could be available to pitch in the ALDS. The team is hoping Slowey can pitch in Game 3 of the ALDS, if the team makes the postseason.

Joe Christensen, of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, reports Minnesota Twins SP Kevin Slowey (wrist) is healing and could throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Oct. 1, according to manager Ron Gardenhire. If Slowey throws a successful bullpen session he could be available to start Game 3 or Game 4 of the American League Division Series.
