The Twins continue to take out the best pitchers in the NL, and on Sunday, they can thank Kevin Slowey. The 24-year-old right-hander tossed a complete game shutout against the Brewers. He allowed three hits, walked nine, and struck out eight. "He was just painting," manager Ron Gardenhire informs the AP. Slowey currently owns a 16-inning scoreless streak.Yes, this is the same guy who out-pitched Jake Peavy earlier in the week. Slowey was the Twins minor league pitcher of the year in 2007, and he is clearly getting more comfortable at the major league level. Of course, he'll go back to facing AL teams next week.
