The Associated Press reports Chicago Cubs 2B Mark DeRosa hit a home run for the fourth straight game Sunday, Aug. 24, as his Cubs scored a 6-1 victory over the Washington Nationals. DeRosa became the first Cubs player to homer in four straight games since Fred McGriff did it in September 2001.

DeRosa continues to swing a big stick. He's popped a round-tripper in each of the last four games and five of the last nine. The streaky second sacker is also working on a six-game hitting streak, during which he's 10-for-23 with six RBIs. With his eligibility at nearly every position on the field, DeRosa has been the ideal mixed-league utility man this year, batting .287 with 83 runs and 77 RBIs.

News: Cubs 2B Mark DeRosa homered for the fourth consecutive game Sunday as Chicago defeated Washington 6-1. The homer was his 18th of the year.

Analysis: DeRosa is on an absolute tear just about now and is as hot as any middle infielder in Fantasy Baseball. He's eligble all over the infield and can be a very useful starter in any league as long as he continues to hit for power and average as he's been doing most of the year
