The Rockies found interleague play to be rather difficult this evening, taking the 7-3 loss against Kansas City. Outfielder Matt Holliday was a force at the plate, going 2-for-4 with his 10th homer of the season to total one RBI and one run scored on the night.That's two homers in two days for Holliday, working to get back on track since returning from injury by hitting .358 through June.

The Rockies announced left fielder Matt Holliday will begin a rehabilitation assignment with Triple-A Colorado Springs on Thursday. Holliday was placed on the 15-day DL on May 25 with a strained hamstring. He was batting .321 with eight homers and 26 RBI at the time.
