News: Angels C Mike Napoli, sidelined since July 6 because of irritation in his right shoulder, was set to conclude his minor league rehab assignment with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday night and will be activated Friday for the series opener against the Yankees.
Analysis: Napoli was tied for second on the team with 12 home runs in just 47 games before getting hurt, but his batting average is just .204 with 46 strikeouts in 142 at-bats. Consider the streaky slugging catcher nothing more than a DL stashee in deeper leagues for Fantasy Week 20 (Aug. 11-17)

Napoli has made four rehab starts with Class A Rancho Cucamonga, including Tuesday night when he went 1-for-4 with a double. Another good sign is that he threw out two runners attempting to steal on Tuesday, which means his injured shoulder is responding well.

News: According to The Sports Xchange notes: C Mike Napoli (shoulder irritation) continued his injury-rehabilitation assignment with Class A Rancho Cucamonga by going 1-for-4 with a double and catching all nine innings. Napoli is 5-for-10 in four rehab games for the Quakes, three at catcher and one at DH. The Quakes priced tickets for Tuesday's game at $5.40 -- in honor of last week's 5.4 earthquake in Southern California.
Analysis: Napoli could return in Fantasy Week 20 (Aug. 11-17), but track his progress through the weekend before considering him for your lineup at this point. There is pop in his bat and it is likely he assumes regular catching duty once activated
