Center fielder Nate McLouth was a late scratch from the Pirates' lineup tonight because of a sore left knee, this according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Jason Michaels started in center field in McLouth's place.McLouth was replaced after six innings in the game against the Tampa Bay Rays after fouling several pitches off his knees in recent days. McLouth is considered day-to-day.

McLouth parked a 1-2 pitch from Joel Pineiro in the first inning into the right-field stands at Busch Stadium. It was McLouth's 11th home run of the season and second in three games. McLouth, who also walked three times, extended his hitting streak to four games (4-for-15).
