Nate Schierholtz returned to the starting lineup for Saturday's game and went 1-for-4 against the Dodgers. Schierholtz hadn't played since Tuesday because of a sore right shoulder.

Nate Schierholtz will probably be back with the Giants on Saturday after missing some time with a strained pectoral muscle, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.Schierholtz has good numbers, but in just 44 at-bats, it is difficult for fantasy owners to trust him, especially because he has accumulated only two RBI.

Andrew Baggarly, of The San Jose Mercury News, reports San Francisco Giants OF Nate Schierholtz (shoulder) does not plan on playing winter ball in order to rest up from shoulder problems that have plagued him in recent days.

Schierholtz injured himself last Thursday as he fell while attempting to make a sliding catch against the Padres. He remained in that game, but did not play Friday, then went 2-for-5 Sunday but did not manage to hit a ball out of the infield Monday. The 24-year-old outfielder is batting .341 with a .500 slugging percentage in 44 at-bats with the big league club this season.
