Ray Durham left Tuesday's game in the seventh inning with a right shin contusion. Durham was hurt while hitting in the fifth. Craig Counsell took his place two innings later. Durham was starting at second base tonight after poor defense from Rickie Weeks cost the Brewers severely in Monday's loss.

Nice to see Durham get going with his new team, as he'd gone hitless in his previous six at-bats since joining the Brewers on July 21. Though he'll be forced to battle with incumbent second baseman Rickie Weeks for playing time, Durham's fantasy value could certainly get a nice boost from the trade if he hits his way into everyday leadoff duties in a potent Milwaukee lineup.

Making his second start since joining the Brewers, Ray Durham doubled twice, walked and scored three runs Saturday in a 6-4 win over the Astros. Durham got the nod tonight because he had nice career numbers against Brandon Backe and Rickie Weeks didn't. Weeks has been hitting well of late (.346/.471/.577 in seven games since the break), so the starting job remains his.
