Wakefield outduels Randy Johnson to get win
Randy Johnson held the Red Sox to just two runs over six innings but his mates were unable to do anything against Tim Wakefield leading to Johnson's sixth loss of the year. This was a great bounce back performance against a good offense for Johnson after having allowed 15 runs in his last two outings.
Tim Wakefield held the D'backs scoreless on just two hits and a walk over seven innings to pick up his fifth win.Wakefield lowered his ERA to 3.88 on the year and has now gone 6-straight games with three or fewer runs allowed. When a knuckler gets on a role they can be dynamite, and Wakefield is rolling right now.
