News: Braves starting pitchers Tom Glavine and Mike Hampton filed for free agency Tuesday.
Analysis: Glavine still might retire, while Hampton is pretty certain to be a starting rotation member somewhere in 2009. Consider them sleepers in deeper leagues at this point
It might be awhile before the Braves make a decision regarding either hurler. Glavine underwent season-ending elbow surgery in August and still doesn't know whether he'll be physically capable to continue pitching at his desired level. As for Hampton, he resuscitated his career after returning to the mound on July 26, after being sidelined for nearly three full years because of multiple injuries.
