Updating a previous report, Dick Kaegel, of MLB.com, reports the St. Louis Cardinals are still trying to work out a deal with free-agent RP Trever Miller (Rays) after he took a physical Thursday, Nov. 20.

Reds.MLB.com's Mark Sheldon reports the Cincinnati Reds had interest in free-agent RP Trever Miller (Rays) but didn't want to meet his asking price.

The St. Louis Post Dispatch reports that the Cardinals have agreed to terms with Trever Miller on a two-year contract, pending the results of a physical. Miller was in St. Louis to be examined Thursday, so the two sides appear to be on the verge of a deal. General manager John Mozeliak said Thursday that he plans to add another left-handed reliever even after signing Miller, with Will Ohman, Arthur Rhodes and Joe Beimel among the leading candidates.Source: St Louis Post-Dispatch Related: Cardinals

When asked if it was possible that the Miller deal might fall through, Mozeliak replied, "No deal was done, and the fact of the matter is, I don't anticipate anything tonight, either. It's an ongoing negotiation, and we're working through some things, but there is no deal done at this point."

Updating previous reports, Derrick Goold, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports the St. Louis Cardinals continue to discuss the details of a contract with free-agent RP Trever Miller (Rays). Miller was taking a physical Thursday, Nov. 20, and general manager John Mozeliak said no deal would be completed Thursday. However, he declined to mention if the physical was the cause of the delay, saying that "language" still needed to be worked out.
