Escobar still out with shoulder strain

The Braves, who left Atlanta on Thursday only four games out of first place in the National League East, are hoping to see the return of several of their injued this weekend. Among position players, the Braves were missing third baseman Chipper Jones, center fielder Mark Kotsay, left fielder Matt Diaz and shortstop Yunel Escobar from the starting lineup on Wednesday.Throw Omar Infante (hamstring) into the mix and the Braves are a mess.

The Associated Press reports that Yunel Escobar jammed his shoulder on Tuesday and will not be in the starting lineup on Wednesday.Bobby Cox said he expects him to be back in the lineup Friday in Toronto.
