The Mets surely want to see him get plenty of at-bats against right-handers this winter. They kept him in the majors for the majority of the season, but they used him only against lefties. While it did help the team, it's still no way to develop a 22-year-old.

Evans, who hadn't started since Sep. 7, wasted no time getting back to business. In sporadic duty dating back to Aug. 18, he's 11-for-33 with seven runs and six extra-base hits. The Mets believe the 22-year-old left fielder has 20-plus home run potential.
