Adam Dunn : September 3rd, 2008, 7:20 pm est
Adam Dunn doubled in Conor Jackson in the bottom of the ninth to give the Diamondbacks a 4-3 win over the Cardinals on Wednesday. Stephen Drew tripled to lead off the ninth against Chris Perez in a 3-2 game. After David Eckstein flied out to shallow right, Conor Jackson ripped a hard single through the drawn-in infield to tie it. Dunn then lined a double down the right-field line to score Jackson just ahead of the relay from Albert Pujols. Dunn ended the series against the Cardinals 3-for-8 with a homer, three RBI and five walks. He struggled down the stretch for the Reds in 2006, but he's been a big success so far in the second pennant race of his career.
