B.J. Upton : October 6th, 2008, 8:35 pm est
B.J. Upton homered twice in Monday's Game 4 to lead the Rays past the White Sox 6-2 and into the ALCS. Upton put the Rays on the board in the first with his second homer in two days and then added another solo blast just two innings later. The Rays came up with two more runs off Gavin Floyd in the fourth and held on from there. The White Sox got homers from Paul Konerko and Jermaine Dye, but both were solo shots, and after Andy Sonnanstine left in the sixth, J.P. Howell and Grant Balfour shut the Pale Hose down the rest of the way. The Rays will face either the Red Sox or Angels in the ALCS, which is scheduled to begin Friday.
